Ingredients
Makes 6 Burgers.
1 lb of ground turkey
1 package of turkey bacon
2 shallots minced and sauteed
Meat seasoning
Liquid smoke (optional but gives it that grill taste)
Cooking Instructions
In a food processor or blender mix up the turkey bacon so it's a ground up texture.
Saute the shallots and add all of the turkey burger mixture together.
Heat a skillet or griddle on medium high heat with either a little oil or pan spray.
Form 6 large balls like giant meatballs. Press them into the heated pan, and press down with a spatula to form a burger shape (I like them to be kind of rustic looking) Cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side, giving them a nice char on each side. And check for doneness using a meat thermometer, cook until they reach 165 in the center.
